RULES AND FEATURES

The index 52 in the name indicates the number of cards in the deck. In this version of Mat Solitaire, a standard 52-card deck is used for the layout, from which all aces are discarded. A total of 48 cards are used in solitaire. All of them are laid out on the game table in 4 long rows of 12 cards each. At the same time, there are 13 slots (cells) in each row. Thus, 4 cells remain free on the game table. The initial layout is random by suit and rank.

The task of the Mat solitaire player is to arrange the cards so that in each of the 4 rows there are cards of the same suit, ordered by rank, starting with deuce (2, 3, 4,..., jack, queen, king). Which suit to form in which row is decided by the player.

The rules of Solitaire Mat are simple and transparent. There are only a few limitations that you need to keep in mind when building logical chains. Remember them. First. The program allows you to put a card in a cell if there is a card of the same suit and lower by one rank in the cell next to the left. That is, to the right of the cross seven, you can only place the cross eight, only the queen of diamonds can be placed next to the jack of diamonds on the right. The only exceptions are twos. They can be transferred to the first slot in the row that is now available.

The rules are simple, but quite strict, as you will see for yourself when assembling the Mat. However, to compensate for the positional complexity, the authors added a magic button to the game, which provides significant help. If you are experiencing serious difficulties or have reached a dead end, use this button.
