BALLS 98

The number 98 in the name of this popular ball game did not appear by chance. This is the year of release of one of the most famous implementations of the game, called Lines 98 by the authors. At the end of the last century, flash technology was actively developing, so the good old Lines 98 (Lines 98) is a flash game. Now flash is being replaced by the new html5 technology, which forces developers to switch their projects to it.

Balls 98 is a game in html5 format, which allows it to be universal, that is, to work steadily in any modern Internet browser, both on a desktop personal computer (PC), as well as on a tablet and smartphone. In this implementation of Balls, unfortunately, the fixed size of objects, so they do not scale to the size of the screen. This creates problems for players who want to play the game on screens with a resolution of less than 700 pixels. However, the version of the 7x7 cell field can also be displayed correctly on displays with a lower resolution.

We will deliberately omit the story about the exact rules of the game, since their exhaustive revision is presented in the program itself (the question mark button at the bottom) both in Russian and English, and with a detailed description of all the buttons and options.

In Balls 98 there are two options for the size of the playing field: 7x7 and 9x9 cells. The minimum length of the line of balls is also configurable: 4, 5, 6, 7-the choice is up to the player. There are preset field and line length settings, but you can set these parameters manually, which is convenient. In the game options, you can even change the model of cleaning balls from the field. These can be not only classic lines, but also blocks, rhombuses, or rectangles.

The game Balls 98 turned out to be very successful: compact size (in kilobytes) and simple, but high-quality graphics. An abundance of settings allows you to play the game for both beginners, amateurs and professionals.
