Night bike racing is dangerous, and on a slippery wet track doubly so. Your hero must drive almost 40 kilometers on a rainy night highway with two lanes, one of which is oncoming, which adds risk. Special marking on the asphalt in the form of arrows from the corners allows you to accelerate further, and riding on the rear wheel significantly increases the speed.
